Arun N. Nambiar's research interests include production planning and control,
simulation, lean manufacturing, production scheduling, inventory systems,
assembly line balancing and mass customization. He teaches courses in Industrial
Materials, Computer-Aided Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Processes. Prior to
moving to California State University - Fresno, he was working as an assistant
professor at University of Puerto Rico - Mayaguez, Puerto Rico where he taught
courses related to production planning, scheduling and probabilistic models in
OR.
Arun likes to spend his spare time reading both fiction (ranging from classics
to thrillers) and non-fiction (mainly history and religion) literature. Some of
his favorite fiction writers include Jane Austen (simply love Pride and
Prejudice), Raymond Khoury, Steve Berry, and Nicholas Sparks (Message in a
Bottle is a must-read).
